There's a lot of ideas I can think of regarding this week's topic, and even things or incidents that happened and still happening in my life right now....:) and yet lately, i have not had the desire to really draw other things aside from clothes:))....Anyway, this is an old drawing of an orange cat that I am really dreaming of to have in the future. The eyeglasses' really meaningful for me, because I know everything becomes clear in the eyes when it has gotten blurred already.

I have discovered that I like cooking and gardening but I was not satisfied because for some reason, I wasn't able to cultivate the friendships with people who can appreciate it.

When I was little, I would be assigned to buy fresh baked muffins early in the morning. On my way to the bakery, I had to pass by an old and abandoned two story house(As far as I can remember it was an old kindergarten school before)which is being guarded (according to my schoolmates) by a huge, wrinkled and monster like old man who doesn't like little girls. I really believed it because I would hear someone whistling(going to and fro....) to me everytime I was passing by, and I would run so fast, but never did I tried looking who it was. I don't know how long before I had the courage to look but when the right time came, I really saw a man who I thought was huge and ugly and was scary looking. When I reached home, I told my family the story. They all laughed when I told them and assured me it was not true, and that because I was running that I thought I was seeing a monster. I cried and cried until my father decided they will not send me to buy muffins again.

This is one of my drawings that I never tried posting-- in which the idea came from visiting old castles and how in my mind they've been guarded heavily, maybe not of many knights or soldiers but by a giant :)

It was cold-I wrapped myself with layers of linen when I went to bed. After midnight, I heard someone opened my front door and there was that noise like giant steps going towards the sala where I was sleeping. I don't know but I could'nt move-I was afraid. I was crying silently. It stopped in front of me and suddenly, I felt pain in my body. It felt like staple wires being stapled to my linens straight to my body, and I woke up and did not sleep anymore. What a nightmare isn't it? What do you think about it?

My new year’s resolution is to watch more basketball games and even try to play the game:). The reasons for this are--- I wanted my feet to learn how to move, to be able to try again those long walks, safe running and cool moves, to be able to jump and even fly. I would like to reach that high or maybe not so high goal until I finally defeat my opponent and win…:).
Last night, as I was praying and welcoming the New Year, I have got this message. “My eyes are ever on the LORD, for only he will release my feet from the snare. Psalm 25:15. I have been having some problems for some time now, and I am not ready to give up because I was given a vision that deepens and strengthens my faith. I know that it takes courage and discipline and hard work, and having failed so many times in the past, maybe I can try a new approach :).

I was used to keeping all my letters when I was younger and still living at home with my parents. Gee, I kept a big box since I love writing and receiving letters :) There were letters that made me happy, made me sad and cry, letters that made my surrounding seems bigger like I was out there somewhere...:)and letters that I would read over and over again from morning until the sun was setting. During that time, I have learned to value the importance of the postman in my life. I would wait for him patiently in our front door and put on my big wonderful smile. I even gave him gifts during christmas and wished that he would not retire.

Easter morning when I was little was dressing up in our new clothes(together with my two younger sisters) going to church at dawn watching the reenactment of Jesus resurrection…..walking with candles on our hands together with other children and grown-ups in a procession of huge statues of saints…..Afterwards, we go home and eat our breakfast and native delicacies and play and maybe take a nap…….I only learned about easter eggs and decorating them much later in my life :) that is why this illustration of an easter egg dipped in chocolate is my treat to myself.

I was asked to draw a cone some years ago. It was a kind of an important project that was given to 3 people. It was exciting in the beginning but I lost my perspective along the way especially with regards to drawing the axis. I cannot remember what it's all about because I cannot find the texts anymore. Did you ever experienced doing a lot of version of your drawings using different tools, different filters etc.,....? and you like all of them and wanted to present everything and yet, you have to pick the best one, and yet, you still think all the version are good and they are just different from each other :) but at the end, you really have to decide so as not to confuse the person you are presenting it with.tsk tsk tsk

I just remembered I am also claustrophobic and just looking at my illustrations made me feel dizzy and was having a hard time breathing :)
I've been to a lot of cave exploring in the past, but it was only scary on the outside because inside it was huge and the guides avoided to take me to small passages ohh i've got lots of stories about this phobia of mine but will tell you one day. I've got to drink water now and go out and get some fresh air-

I had made another post for these images but I don't know why I cannot go to IF's site since I woke up this morning that is why I decided to upload this together with my first entry. It is true the promise of little sunshine today.....We really had a stormy weather yesterday and early this morning, I was awaken by the noise of the wind banging somewhere...yes, it is still windy and raining a little bit, but the sun is shining once in a while :)

This was a challenge task for Studio Friday I did some years ago --an acrylic painting I painted in a wooden box. I like this a lot because I was so happy that time and the two birds seems like looking at the same light, same direction....

IF: germs

I finished this painting a month ago. In the beginning it was just a big hand, covering the earth and sea that is why there was a borderline and there was also a color distinction. But, the blue and green colors disappeared a little when I started painting the top with a round tip like of the fingers with gold. Also,the hand doesn’t have any red outline when I finished it, but one of my favorite critic commented it looks like a Christmas wrapper :)
Anyway, Don’t you think it can also pass for this week’s topic germs? Doesn’t germs make the skin or our hands red when germs has developed and gee, it may also be a contagious one…..

This week: I received a phone call yesterday from the nurse in the Health Center. She has found an exercise buddy for me:) It's getting colder and colder over here now, the colors are changing and I like what I am seeing. It was so windy the other day and all the fallen leaves have covered my body while I was walking in the streets with lots of trees, and then the bus passed by and it was lifted....uhmmmm autumn weather.

Do you also feel the same way I do sometimes where I become (maybe)sentimental?..... like there's a certain moment, or place or weather where I feel like it happened before but there's no exact memory on what it was.....I like the feeling somehow, like I feel there's something special about it...and then I get annoyed because I cannot remember what it us.....some of the examples---when it just rained, I like the smell and the water from the leaves or trees.....some place when it's so quiet and all I can hear was the humming of the birds.....or when I was drinking coffee on a dimlighted room.....the ticking of the clock.....the train passing by.....curling up on the bed smelling the linens where I can also see the full moon from the bedroom window.....gosh, this must be loneliness.

One of the weirdest dreams I had was when I was standing in the middle of the street and it was raining immeasurably with hand gloves, different textiles, texture and colors. Surprisingly, I was not afraid in my dream but I was smiling because the gloves when it’s near to touching the pavement went up again and it was like magic. I know something happened after that but I cannot remember the rest. I never liked wearing hand gloves but I have to wear them during winter and yet, I do take good care of them very well and I really felt bad when I lost the very first one I had.

Caution in love.

I have been working on some illustrations for what it seems like ages .....It is something about love and relationships and I found this quote that can well describe one of them.

Last friday, I made a quick glance of the topic at IF.....and can you remember that mistake I committed before?---- that I shuffled the word and started drawing an image to what I thought was the topic. It happened to me this week but luckily, I found out the correct word before I uploaded it......anyway, I submitted an entry the next day. While I was out friday....I kept on saying the phrase "He caution her about the action in the auction......"I am weird sometimes :)

They joined a body wrapping contest and everyone have created their own design and wrapped it in their bodies. It ended up that each of the wrapping have also their meaning and qualities.... I might share more about the rest of the illustrations later on.

His mom died yesterday and I only learned about it today.....and I don’t know if I can find a way to see and talk to him. I wanted to wrap him around my arms for a long time to tell him that I know how it feels. ….and tomorrow he is leaving……I don’t even know if I will be able to see him again…..saying goodbye is the hardest thing for me to bear and I know it will take a lifetime to recover….

All I want is to laugh with you, have fun with you, explore new places with you. just spending time talking about beautiful things, walking in the beach, running under the rain in the woods, climbing mountains, swimming, boat rowing, long bus trips to nowhere...., exploring small and big caves and disturbing bats in their sleep.....watching bastketball, handball, softball or cricket in a stadium....sitting in a crowded place in the city and watching people walking by.......and many more.....these are the things I like and enjoy doing.....these are my favorite past times as far as I can remember......And from the time I started earning my own money ----I was always on the first bus going nowhere and exploring new things.....well, it could have been nice doing all these things with you.....

It fascinates me watching how a farmer tries to make the soil seed line straight so that the crop will grow aligned and the spaces just enough and even. A farmer’s job is also an art from the time the crop was planned, planted and when they started growing and when the color changes or later the flowers blossoming into a fruit and until they are harvested and so forth and so on…….

In my life, had I prayed every time to God--- to lead me to a straight path, that no matter how colorful or the colors beautiful or not, the goal is not getting blurred or crooked and somehow it is getting somewhere no matter how long it’ll take….It can only go wrong if I just pray and don’t do anything isn’t it? Just recently as I was questioning and scrutinizing my old self, that I realized I have forgotten to really cultivate my relationship with the people around me. I also realized it is one of the ways to get into the right path ‘having an inspiration and getting some help when I needed it..., and avoid becoming a self-centered silent bitch. But many times I also think so little of me and it doesn’t help also because it destroys my self-esteem, and much more it cuts off my willingness to learn more and being able to share. In the past, there was nothing more important to me but to hear the laughs, the lovely exchanging of ideas and stories….yes, it went away because I chose to become the happy pretender and lived like a hermit for sometime…… but somehow I did not stop praying and when my prayers were answered....it maybe not the answer that I maybe expecting but always, I thought it was the best. The present is what makes me strong enough to go on..... I don’t know when my life’s ending but I know that my life is a gift that I have to cherish it and if possible cultivate it, to make it more exciting and beautiful…. And there is no way it will be meaningful unless it is shared with someone……...

For these two talkative girls, being grounded seems like forever. They were asked to sleep early, their mobile phones where taken from them and they will not be allowed to go out of their room during the weekend. Since their rooms were adjacent to each other and the walls were hollow, they continued talking to each other even the lights were out. I think it happened to me before:)

shaky start????

They are our friends. They've been together for 6 months already and they are professional dancers. One day, the six of us decided to meet in a restaurant to have lunch. They were there already when we arrived but they were standing in a corner seriously discussing about something. We cannot order our food because we were waiting for them and then suddenly they started crying and embraced each other tightly, and then we overheard them saying "We had a shaky start....." the four of us looked at each other with wonder.....I suddenly said" whatever that means I am already starving as I waved the waitress.....
